The inaugural race started and finished at Covenant College and highlighted the mining history on Lookout Mountain. After a prologue with many options, teams rode the Moonshine Trails out to Lula Lake Road and headed south towards the Five Points and Durham Mine Trail Systems. The first bike leg was followed by a trekking leg along the same trail systems before heading back north on their bikes along the Nickajack Connector Trail. Teams then had a beautiful trek at the Lula Lake core property before a short bike back to the finish. All proceeds from the race went to the Lula Lake Land Trust
